The Spears were lesser than the sword ones, which made sense since it was a heavier weapon and really harder to manage. Not only that, they had indeed lesser needs for spears, as only numbers nine and ten usually used them. After them, the bows were chosen, funny thing though, the chosen ones did not use the usual bow and spear. One of the spear girls use a scythe and the other one used a pendulum with a cutting string. The bows girls were even more lethal, one of them used nearly automatic crossbow and she didn’t miss a single shot. The other one used a single arrow made of metal controlled by the music she was playing in her violin. The queen smiled to the rabbit beside her. - Are we ready? - Yes, my queen, are you sure you want to do it? - Yes. It will be alright. Bilac stretched his back before approaching the crowd, walking beside the queen. - Dear people of Wonderland, we are also missing the Jack of Cups. So I present you the Jack of Diamonds. - Jack entered the field with his spear in hand. - Whoever gets to pull him to the ground gets to be the Jack. Good luck. What followed her announcement was chaos. Actual chaos. A bunch of people jumped from the banks to the arena and run directly to the jack. Hatter closed his eyes, as he couldn’t look what he was absolutely sure was gonna be a bloodshed. He felt a chill run down his spine as the queen muffled a laugh, he opened one of his eyes, still looking to the side, but the rabbit seemed pretty unimpressed, which gave him the will to actually look to the middle of the arena. Jack was throwing all the people that tried to tackle him to the ground effortlessly. He wasn’t even using the spears’ head, just the end of it to throw them off. - He is pretty good, ain’t he? - the queen asked with a smile on her face, noticing the hatter had finally opened his eyes. - Don’t worry, I’d never send one of you to anything I felt you weren’t ready for. It took a while, but the jack kept taking the people down until they stopped being able to get up. - Is that all you got? - he asked, arms opened, in the middle of the sand arena. - I might have to take my turn, then. A purple haired guy with cat-ears showed out of nowhere from one of the arena’s gates. He had his short hair all messed up and his smile was just as big as the moon. He approached the center of the arena walking slowly, not minding that he stepped on some of the fallen guys that were fighting before him. The queen’s eyes opened wide for a second and the hatter could swear he heard her gasping under her breath, but she regained her smile as fast as possible, signalizing with her hand that the two man beneath her could continue. The purple-haired was the first one to move, he run on the jack’s direction, but before the jack had the chance to hit him, he disappeared in thin air, the jack stopped midway, unsure on what to do, but the other one just showed up on his back and hit him with his shoulders, trying to make him lose his balance. The jack turned again, ready to slam the cat with his spear, but once again he disappeared before the metal could hit him. His next attack came from below, when he showed up on the sand right behind the jack, kicking the inside of his legs, forcing him to fall on one of his knees. The jack once again tried to hit him, but the cat disappeared once more. The last thing the jack knew before feeling the sand entering his armor’s frontal area was the feeling of two hands against his neck and the full weight of a grown man against his back. The crowd got awkwardly silent, as none of the contests before the purple cat could even get close to the jack, who could say he would be forced to the ground by such a strange guy, but the silence was broken by the slow clapping of the queen. - Congrats, my dear mysterious contestant. You may let go of the jack’s neck now. The man seemed to hesitate a bit, as if he was still thinking about it, but he let Jack go and got up again, stretching his slender figure. The jack seemed uneasy when he got up, giving the queen a serious look before removing his helmet and waving to the public. The queen began her ending speech, but the hatter got closer to the rabbit, as fast as he could. - Bilac…? Who is that person? - I’m not sure. But he gives off a strange vibe.
