After everybody made their enlistments, the queen and the rabbit walked to the middle of the sand arena.

- People of Wonderland! - she began, her voice reaching every corner on the Coliseum, even though she wasn’t even screaming. When they saw her new appearance, the people went immediately silent. - Welcome and thank you for coming for our first Wonderland Card Fighting Contest!

It was possible to see rumors spreading, a good part of the watchers had gone absolutely silent when the queen began talking, but now, they looked as if they couldn’t control themselves, questioning if the one they saw was really the queen. Not the queen looked impressed.

- The contest will give you all the chance to show their worth in battle, and those who win from a diamond card guard will be the winner and invited to my heart suit guard. It is an invitation, the winner is not obliged to enter, but there are some good things in joining. The hearts guards suit will live inside the floating castle, eat and sleep as one of the royalty and get paid by their jobs. Should they want to live outside of the castle, in case they want to build a family, they will receive full support of the cast…

The queen interrupted her speech when a stone almost hit her in the head, wasn’t for the defensive magnetic shield evolving she and the rabbit. It wasn’t visible before, but now it was possible to see the pearly glow that it emitted radiating as waves from where the stone hit, and then, becoming invisible again.

The crowd next to the person who threw the stone got turbulent, probably thinking they all would be punished for him, but the queen only moved her eyes for them and faked a cof, making them go silent.

- What was I saying? Ah, yes, full support from the castle. Now, regarding the one who threw this stone. - she had a challenging, and a little bitchy smile in her face. - You’ll have to get a lot better if you think you can hit me, young sire. I hope you think about joining our guard sometime. Maybe if you join you will get good enough to hurt me.

And with that final regard, leaving all the people there absolutely silent and lost for words, she then smiled to all the others.

- As I was saying, please, enjoy and have fun. This is not a ‘till the death contest, so don’t hesitate to choose a favorite and cheer for them. The Card Fighting Contest is now… OPENED!

And she then moved a single finger in the air, making the floor under herself and the rabbit turn into one of the pearly glowing stones, just like the castle walls. It floated to the throne balcony and as soon as the rabbit as herself stepped outside it, it turned back to sand, flying in the wind. The hatter was already waiting for them, standing on the right side of the queen’s throne. The rabbit stood on the left side of it, and the queen sat down on it, leaving the king’s throne empty.

The first ones were the Sword-weavers, they were the biggest group of enlisted and were also the ones with the higher number of suit number to fill, from four to eight. The majority of them were boys, but there were also some girls there and they didn’t look the slightest afraid to be there, which made the queen smile.

- Hey, girly…! Be careful not to hurt yourself out there. Stay behind me and I’ll protect you, okay? - one of the taller boys screamed to a girl with light brown hair.

- Yeah, yeah, whatever, mister know-it-all, watch your back. - she answered uninterested.

The queen’s smile only got bigger.

- Oh, this is going to be fun. - she then got up and signalized they should start, then sitting back to watch. - So fun.

It was fun, indeed, and fast. As soon the hornets soared, the girl kicked the boys back away and pulled two rapiers out of her belt, defending herself from a blow with her left arm as she still got to get on offensive with the boy who said would protect her.

The queen laughed to the point where there was tears in her eyes while the girl continued to press that same boy until he gave up the battle and ran away from the coliseum, fearing for his life.

There were other contestants that were pretty impressive. A small boy with long brown hair and green eyes had a long fitted sword, known as a katana on both of his hand. He wasn’t as fast as the girl with both rapiers, but most of the people who tried to attack him would miss, as he just slipped them like a leaf on the wind, and them hit them on the back. For some time, they would still be fighting in a huge group, until there were less than 10 still standing.

The queen got up with a smile on her face.

- Bring the Diamond Guard! Contestants! If you want the title of winner, you need to win from them as well!

The diamond guard entered the arena, number four to eight, wearing their armors and holding their swords in hand.

The remaining contestants jumped on them, but one of the boys were hit on the stomach by the guard elbow and flew some meters before hitting the wall.

- Beware, they are quite strong, they were personally trained by the Jack.

Took sometime, but one by one the remaining contestants hit the ground, until there was only five standing, facing the diamond guard and their black armors.

The dual-rapier wielding girl, the katana boy, a orange-headed girl that was using her own fists as weapons, a red-haired one that laughed hard, as if she was having a lot of fun, she seemed to have hidden-blades on her clothes and a grey-haired one using a huge cutting chakram in her waist.

- Well, the five of you are still standing. But are you able to get those guys to the ground?

The dual wearing rapier girl stopped a few feet in front of number four.

- So, you must be four. You like doing it doggy style?

She blinked a single eye to the card, which put his sword down a bit, not truly understanding what the hell was that supposed to mean in the arena, but he found out soon enough. Using both of her rapiers the girl hit his sword and his knee, making him fall to his knee. She then kicked him in the chest, making him fall to the sand and although that was enough, she jumped on top of him, making a scissor with her rapiers and putting each end of the rapiers on a side of his neck.

- I personally prefer riding.

The card then understood she was only playing with him, well, a shame it worked, the jack was probably going to kill him.

The queen on the other side was smiling, the girl was extremely fast, body and mind.

- Number four, well done. Please wait for the others.

The orange-haired girl was the next one to attack, she jumped on number five’s head, but because he was wearing an armor, he didn’t care for it, at least, until she removed the cloth around her waist.

She gave a knot around the card’s neck and jumped to his front, pulling him against her, once he run against her, thinking this was an opportunity to hit her with his sword, she just slipped between his legs, pulling the cloth again, this time making the card flip on his own and fall with his back against the sand.

- Is that what you wanted, queen of hearts? - her voice was that of a younger, and she smiled to the queen.

- Welcome to the guard, number five.

The watchers began applauding like crazy when their saw one of the smaller ones put the diamond card to the ground, but they didn’t have much time to enjoy it, as the katana-boy soon launched himself against number six.

Number six were able to protect himself from his attacks, but weren’t able to hit the boy not even once since he was so fast and so slim, dodging like a leaf dancing in the wind. It was when the card was already furious and offended for not being able to hit him, that the boy identified one opening, and dodged the new attack putting his leg between the cards legs, making him hit the ground. The boy put his katana against the card neck and waited for the queen.

- Number six. Well done. Please join number four and five and wait.

The katana boy went to sit on the sand besides the others and they watched as the red haired girl was smiling to card number seven.

- Number seven, please. - she then turned to the red-haired. - It’s your turn now. Don’t leave us hanging.

The girl laughed once more. She run directly to number seven, he even lifted his sword, preparing a blow, but she just slipped past his legs, kicking sand in the air, there wasn’t much they could see with this sand cloud on the arena, but they could hear a single manly scream and the sound of something heavy falling, just to find, when the sand dropped to the ground once again, the red-haired girl on top of the seven card, who had his belly against the floor. She had hidden blades on her wrists, which were against the cards neck and on her boots, which pressed against the cards knees.

- Very well. Number seven, you may wait. Number eight… It’s your turn.

The grey-haired girl stopped moving her hips and moved her chakram to her arm, where she could still swing it easily. She had a feral-like posture and looked to be pretty strong, at least to keep something as heavy looking as that rotating around her body.

She advanced against the last card left, the eighth, moving her chakram from one arm to another and even between her torso and legs, she was forcing him backwards by hitting his sword with the chakram.

It didn’t take long for the sword to break, as the chakram was way heavier than it, and the girl hit the cards’s head with her left feet, not wanting to really harm him. Unarmed, he fell on his back.

- Very well, very well, we know have the hearts guard numbers four to eight! Bring the Spears! Congratulations on your victory!!!

The crowd went insane, screaming as they clapped their hands in the air for their winners. All of them were removed from the arena accompanied by the Jack who had a calm and sweet smiled on his face.

The hatter couldn’t hear what he was saying, but he imagined he was introducing himself, as he guided them outside and the Spears contestants entered the arena.
